Pray for the poor in Bangladesh

Fiona and Les Allan, BMS long-term workers in Chandraghona, Bangladesh, ask for prayer:

Please pray for Bangladesh as we are suffering from a number of problems at the moment:

1 Most urgently, a severe cyclone is reported to be heading towards Bangladesh. It is only six months since Cyclone Sidr affected the south west of the country and many people are still in temporary accommodation.

2 People are struggling to afford enough to eat and food prices are still rising. It is imperative that this month's rice harvest is collected and is not damaged by the cyclone or early rain. If this rice is destroyed, prices will rise further.

3 We are experiencing a heatwave with temperatures 3-5ºC above average. There are serious electricity and water shortages which are making the situation worse.
