Get involved

Watching the video and reading stories of those enslaved by human trafficking, it's hard not to be upset, to get angry, to care deeply about the victims. But that is not enough. Campaigning is about doing something and here are some simple ideas for what you can do to make a difference.

For six months, between May and November 2007, BMS World Mission ran a successful postcard campaign against human trafficking. Almost 11,000 people leant their support to this.

In transit urged UK Christians to declare their opposition to trafficking and their support for what Albanian Christians are doing in both awareness training and in lobbying their government.

A huge thank you to all of you who have got behind In transit, by returning postcards and making the issue known in your churches and your communities. Click here for news about the final total of postcards collected.

Although In transit has ended, the issue of human trafficking of course has not. Through our representative Hannah Wilson and partners in Albania, and other countries, BMS will continue to campaign against trafficking.

There are lots of plans developing in Albania, and we’ll continue to keep you abreast of the latest news. And please do keep the issue on the agenda in your churches. Do continue to use the resources linked to In transit, which are still very much relevant. You'll find these listed in the 'church resources' subsection.
