For the past six months BMS World Mission volunteer Rosemary Williams, from Hope Baptist Church, Bridgend, has been helping to train teachers for the PEPE pre-school education programme in Asuncion, Paraguay. She will be based in Paraguay with BMS until February 2008.
Equipped with her experience as a teacher in the UK, Rosemary has had to rely on the prayerful support of fellow Christians back here in the UK. She says, "I am constantly aware of your faithful support and I�m tangibly aware of your prayers"
Since May
Though she continues to teach children through the use of crafts, Rosemary admits that her "work with the PEPEs has widened, and has given [her] the privilege of meeting more godly ladies who voluntarily commit to teaching so many children."
More recently, Rosemary has started teaching English to a Sunday school class of 14 year-olds. They meet on Saturday mornings, and though Rosemary admits this was never part of her original plan, she says that the class has become a "special delight"
Saying goodbye
"I am constantly aware of your faithful support and I'm tangibly aware of your prayers.
At the request of a few local Baptist churches, Rosemary has begun to compose modules for learning English that church leaders can use once PEPE classes close for the summer.
Through it all Rosemary has continued to look to God for the �B-M-S� of her life: �to bless my strivings, be my support, become my strength, break me and shape me, and finally, be blessed by my saviour�.
