John Howes

John has been honorary treasurer and a trustee of BMS World Mission and the BMS Pension Trust since 2002. He is also currently honorary treasurer and a governor of Spurgeon's College. He previously worked in local government finance for over 30 years and was county treasurer of East Sussex County Council until 2001. John is well-known in his home area of Sussex as a pianist and organist and has conducted amateur light opera. He is married to Sue and they have two children and five grandchildren.
