BMS World Mission

Teachers – Two urgent needs

Pokhara Study Centre:

Primary teacher needed from early January 2011

Ideally you would be available for training from September 2010.

Class one teacher needed for two weeks per term

Can you commit to 2 weeks of teaching each term? The Pokhara Study Centre is in need of someone to cover Class 1 on a regular basis so the teacher can take some time out to train Nepali teachers.

Easter Term: 4 Jan – 26 March

Summer Term: 12 April – June

Monsoon Term: 9 Aug – 8 Oct

Surkhet Study Centre:

Pre-school teacher needed from April 2010

Immediate help needed for the Summer Term (April to end June) but long term would be even better. Someone who could teach German would be a great help.

Nepali children

Sarah Pryor is a BMS World Mission long term worker and the school’s only full-time teacher. For the past five years, she has been teaching the children of other mission workers and expatriates in the rural town of Surkhet in Nepal’s Mid West region. Surkhet is a centre for health and development work. It is a small mission school, which provides a secure and fun environment for young children to develop, learn – and grow in their faith.

Clear CRB disclosure and health clearance are essential for all BMS placements.

If you are available and interested in serving with BMS World Mission in Pokhara or Surkhet then please do contact Sarah for more information. Speak to Sarah on 01235 517653 or e-mail slewney@bmsworldmission.org
