James and Julia Henley
James and Julia met at Spurgeon’s College whilst training for ministry. Prior to college, Julia was an occupational therapist and James worked with adults with learning disabilities. While Julia was completing her ministerial training, James worked with Brighton Road Baptist Church in Croydon.
After their time of training at IMC James and Julia travelled to Peru in May 2011. They moved to Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley (Cusco region) after a period of language training in Arequipa. There they are initiating a church plant, in partnership with the Peruvian Evangelical Baptist Convention (CEBP).
Their home churches are Romsey Baptist Church (Julia) and Beulah Baptist Church, Bexhill-on-Sea (James). Katie Grace, their first child was born on 1 January 2013.
