2 weeks in and El Puente is becoming well-known in the community!
Noah’s Ark is the overall theme for the month. The children have been decorating both the set and props which will be used in the end of month drama production. We are teaching the children to trust in God through the hope that the dove symbolises through fun and games. We want to encourage them in their relationship with God, even at such a young age, so we came up with the idea of post-it prayers. They can either write a prayer or draw a picture in the response to the story and they stick it to the rainbow that was previously painted in the kid’s room. Noah’s Ark isn’t your average story that you’d tell young people but the message of hope is so apparent that we wanted to share it with them.

The theme of our month!

Some of the childrens post-it prayers.
The title for this blog is the exact number of pages that we have created, photocopied and hole-punched! This was to create individual booklets to teach English to the young people on what the desire to learn. This is a great resource that they can use now and in the future as well as pass it on to friends and family. Wednesday night is movie night! It’s a great opportunity to bring in the young people of the area and our regulars have started inviting their friends. This is really encouraging to us to hear and see them laughing with one another over homemade toffee popcorn waiting for the film to start.

English conversations between the team and our youth, along with the folder we made (so many pages...)

The photo frames we all created as our craft after the English lessons.
Thank you for all the prayer and thoughtful support from the UK!
A few prayer points to consider...
· Rain – It would great if you could pray that the rain could ease off during the club’s hours as it stops people coming.
· Attacks – Please pray that God will protect us from the Devil’s attacks as we progress with the month and more people begin to come.
· Fruit – Please pray that the youth and kids will be eager to continue coming after the month is up to the Sunday services and youth groups to learn more about God.

Dear Amy , Rob , Jess & Lizzie . It's so exciting to read this & your last post. Really
pleased that the holiday club is taking off so well & that El Puente is a witness to those
around. I'm sure all your hard work ,& that of your in- country supervisors , is going to
bring fruit . It's also so good to hear that you chat & pray togeather the way you said .
Thank you for the prayer requests , we will keep praying! May I leave you with a couple of
verses in respose to some of what you said & for your encouragement to dig deeper into the
Word & prayer times:
Psalm 112:4 " Light arrises in the darkness for the upright ;he is gracious and
compassionate and righteous"
John 12:46 " I have come as light into the world , that everyone who believes in Me may not
remain in darkness"
Psalm 97:11 " Light is sown like seed for the righteous , and gladness for the upright in
heart"
1John 3:8b "...The Son of God appeared for this purpose , that He might destroy the works
of the devil."
God bless !
Thank you, we have all read the verses! :)
