Transforming lives on four continents

A little bit of everything...

Posted by Peru Action Team 2011-12 at 20:04 on 20th March 2012

So, there’s a high possibility that we’ll be visiting the jungle next week, meaning that this could well be our last normal seven days in Peru!

With this in mind, we are mentally preparing ourselves for what is likely to be the final time that we participate in some of our regular activities. An example of this is our time involved in the hospital ministry, as Thursday is our last day.

We shared our testimonies about how God is a rock in our life, with the young people at Friday’s youth group. The following Monday, they wrote their own stories in the English class, which gave us an insight into more of their lives.

Since returning from our holiday, we’ve been visiting a wide range of different churches in Cusco, from Quechua speaking to Spanish speaking. We’ve all found this really useful and hugely enjoyed the various worship styles.

One of our favourite Churches we have visited in Cusco.

We’ve spoken about the orphanage quite a lot, so here are some photos of us playing with some children from the orphanage...outside...in the Andes!

Andrea - Great photos and a nice recap of your trip! How was the hike up to Machu Picchu? My mom went there about 10 years ago and did the hike. Reading your blog hgourbt back memories of her stories from Peru. I know she was really sad about all the children on the streets, and it sounded like she gave them pretty much everything in her purse that she could! I'm glad you guys stood your ground on the cab issue!!

So pleased to read your all going 100% to the last drop ! Well done & will be praying + remembering you in jungle visit next week . Love the photos too.God bless.
