Transforming lives on four continents

As the Miles Go By...

Tour is nearly at an end!

The three weeks following Amy's church were spent at the other home churches telling them about all our experiences and lessons we have learnt. It has been a great opportunity to see different churches and meet more of the family of God and also got to see where we all get our quirks from!

Week 3 was spent in Bicester, Oxfordshire which is where Rob’s home church is. Here we lead a couple of lessons in the local primary school, the morning service and home groups. We all got together with the young people on Saturday night for a Peruvian evening!

Hillingdon on the outskirts of London was our next stop for Jess’s home church where we worked alongside the students at Brunel University and did a presentation evening at church offices during the week.

Relaxing on our day off, going to watch a theatre production in the west end of London.

Week 5 was spent a week in Ampthill, Bedfordshire which is the home of Liz’s church. We had lots of opportunities to go into schools as well as get to know the young people of Ampthill Baptist Church.

Celebrating Robs birthday in Amptill style with a fry-up!

Last week we had a few days rest back at the IMC where we met up with the other teams and had time to catch up on sleep! We even had a day trip out to Drayton Manor theme park.

We have now started our final 3 weeks in the Glasgow area of Scotland. This is a different experience as none of us have any personal connections to these churches but we are all excited to meet more of God’s family and see what God is doing in Scotland. We are only on day 2 in Ayr but have already travelled to Glasgow on a praise bus!

Praising God on the praise bus preceeding the olympic torch all the way into Glasgow. Amy shows how windy the ride was on the motorway!

Tour is definitely a challenging experience but equally rewarding and we have been blessed to see God once again, in a totally new context.
