Transforming lives on four continents

From Warwick to Wales

Posted by Peru Action Team 2011-12 at 16:14 on 25th September 2011

As promised we are telling you about Warwick and our time at Min-y-don in Wales!

To start off we'll let you know about last weekend at our training Church in Warwick. We started off the weekend by meeting some of the youth at their Friday evening group 'Massive' which was great. We led a few games and saw the rooms that we will be redecorating on our next visit.

The next day the church treated us to some time devoted to team bonding at Warwick Castle which we all found beneficial. Later on we wrapped up Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes ready for church members to fill and send out. In the evening we had a drama workshop by a very gifted member of the Church.

During the Sunday morning service at Castle Hill we used these drama skills to introduce ourselves to the Church. We even got the Church pastor to dance like a chicken in front of the whole congregation! We felt so supported by Castle Hill and ended a good day with a good roast before heading home

to IMC.

After a day of the usual training sessions we headed off to Min-y-don outdoor adventure centre on the Welsh coast. We are sworn to secrecy about what actually happens but lets just say we bonded a lot as a team!

That's it for now, keep the prayers coming!

Ciao
