BMS Day of Prayer

The first Monday in February each year is a special day when BMS staff in the UK and mission personnel around the world set aside time to pray for the work of mission.

We are always greatly encouraged, not only by our own times of prayer, but also from knowing that many churches, partners and individual supporters also join in praying for us around that time. The survey following the 2013 Day of Prayer indicated that more churches and individuals than ever shared in praying for BMS in some way this year, whether in Sunday services, in small groups and prayer meetings or in personal prayer times.

We are really grateful to all those who prayed and who are continuing to pray.

Resources for prayer

The resources below were designed for the Day of Prayer but are suitable for use at other times. They include:

• The main programme of prayer with prayer points, focusing on BMS ministries around the world. The programme can be used throughout the day or for a shorter slot such as a one-hour prayer meeting.
   
• An all-age prayer with PowerPoint suitable for use in a Sunday service.
